Hiking in Capitol Reef National Park

After Departing Moab, we headed in the direction of Bryce canyon along Hwy 95, a very scenic byway. Two days later, we reached a little area called Capitol Reef National Park. This is a beautiful, but not heavily trafficked National Park. We were itching to get into some slot canyons but with rain threatening, we opted for a safer alternative. We ended up hiking the Grand Wash trail which is a parking lot to parking lot trail through a HUGE canyon. It is 2.2 miles from parking lot to parking lot so 4.4 miles round trip with very little (no) elevation gain. This was a super simple hike that anybody who is proficient at walking will be able to accomplish. If you are in the area, go check it out!
