This Character Died 3 Times and Was Cut From Transformers 2. 1 of the most interesting things about the Transformers film franchise is seeing who's gonna make the roster. And we've seen classics as well as lesser known characters grace the silver screen. But not every robot is lucky enough to leave the cutting room floor. 1 such character is Breakaway. The aerial bot who was featuring all of the promotions for Transformers 2. He was supposed to appear in the movie at one point and even had concept art that went under the name Firestorm. Funny enough he died in all of the tie-in content for the movie. He died at the hands of Soundwave after refusing to leave when Soundwave asked him to. In the Revenge of the Fallen video game he was killed by Starscream during a mission to rescue Director Gallaway. And he was brought back only to be killed yet again by Starscream during a mission to protect Autobot cargo from the Decepticon seeker.
