The Economist and Misool: Can Eco Tourism Save the World?

In April 2018 we were honoured to host The Economist’s World Ocean Initiative Team as they traversed the globe to film a mini-docu series about our oceans and what the future holds for them.

This nine minute film features Misool and Misool Foundation founders, Marit and Andrew Miners, who share the philosophy behind Misool and their ideas about the future of sustainable tourism. Undoubtedly the star of the show is Ahmad Soltif, one of the Misool Rangers, who gives an intimate view into what life is like as a ranger.

The film was chosen to launch Instagram’s IGTV platform where it has received over 1.2 million views and we’re humbled to join such an influential platform to bring our story to the world.
