How Long Should You Keep Your Furnace?
Visit us at: https://furnaceusa.com
Hello, Steve Gadsby here for furnace USA and have you ever wondered about how long will your furnace last - like how long will the current furnace in your house last? Sometimes people worry that as soon as it gets so many years old it's just going to become unsafe or it's going to start to fall apart or some major problem is going to happen. Here is the truth; you can keep a furnace as long as you want right. As long as it does not have things like cracked heat exchangers, as long as it does not have some sort of thing that is unrepairable and makes it unsafe. You can keep a furnace for 50 years.
So, the best comparison is you still see cars on the road from 1965. There is no reason that the cars need to get taken off the road. The only reason they're off the road is the same reasons why you want to replace a furnace and those are it's a lot more efficient, it's going to use a ton less gas and it's going to be safer. Those are the two main reasons but in the same sense that you don't need to take a car off the road that's 50, 60, 70 years old. Most people do and should take their furnace out. Most people just get rid of it after X number of years just because it's quieter, it's safer & it heats your house better
So, there's a lot of advantages to getting rid of it but do you have to? Unless there is something that is making it unsafe to operate, you do not absolutely have to so. That is the truth about how long should you keep your furnace or when should you get rid of your furnace. Thank you again Steve here for a furnace USA - contact us, we were all over the country and we can help you out in any part in the United States.
