-single spindle uncoiler, with 1 HP DC
-the drive is controlled manually for jogging the coil, and automatically by the loop control during run.
-spindle speed is O to 15 rpm.
-laser sensor detects loop height and controls spindle drive speed to maintain sufficient material for feeder.
-mandrel is a linkage style with manual expansion.
-system automatically maintains mandrel expansion pressure.
-permanently lubricated, deep groove ball bearings support the spindle.
-electrical components are wired back to the main control station.
-machine cabinet fully encloses the drive. All components are easily accessed by removing the panel on the back of the cabinet.
-moveable inner and outer keeper arms allow the coil to be positioned anywhere on the mandrel for alignment to the process.
Optional - Coil clamping arm with idle wheel is recommended to help control the coil when the shipping bands are removed and during unwinding.
Optional – Side shift – uncoiler is mounted on linear bearings and positioned sideways by air motor driven screw actuator. Use manual lever operated air valve to adjust uncoiler position.

The straightener is a has a servo motor to drive the rolls and accurately position the material.
The head is horizontal and set to match the passline of the shear.
-servo drive and motor driving through gear reducer to lower straightenning rolls.
-chains and sprockets transmit power from roll to roll,
-encoder mounted on back of the motor to measure roll position.
-all rolls are 1045 steel,
induction hardenned to 58 Rc,
all diameters are precision ground,
-bearings are Heavy Duty needle rollers running on hardenned inner races with seals.
-Centralized lubrication, all grease points are located at a central manifold for easy access.
-2 entry pinch rolls, 3.000” diameter, shot peened and chrome finish
upper and lower rolls are driven, grip the strip to drive material thru straightener without resetting. Upper roll is driven thru a constant mesh gear train. Upper rolls are lifted/lowered by 2 air cylinders 4" diameter.
-7 straightenning rolls, 3.000” diameter
-4 lower straightenning rolls driven, 3 upper straightenning rolls are non-driven and independently adjustable. Adjustment is made by a hand crank, position is indicated by counters with .001" resolution digital readouts.
-2 exit pinch rolls, 3.000” diameter, shot peened and chrome finish
upper and lower rolls are driven, grip the strip to drive material thru straightener without resetting. Upper roll is driven thru a constant mesh gear train. Upper rolls are lifted/lowered by 2 air cylinders 4" diameter.
-Exit pinch rolls are shot peened and chrome coated to provide a wear resistant, high grip surface,
-entry ramp rolls supports strip into entry pinch rolls
-hardenned entry vertical side guide rolls provide side guidance of strip for alignment. Rolls are set on steel slides with a self-centering screw, position set by hand crank.
