Athens Revisited—Travel Thoughts

We return to Europe, specifically Athens, Greece after a long flight from Brisbane via Singapore. We rented an Airbnb for one week with the view of transitioning into UK life, first experiencing warmer weather before heading for a housesit in south London. It turned out that Athens had a bout of cold weather of around 7deg C when we arrived while the UK was basking in a relatively warm 17-19deg C. The weather in Athens did warm up in our last few days which is when we walked around the old part of the city. We took a tram to Glyfada, which is an upmarket suburb of Athens on the sea. Again, it was pretty chilly but seeing the Med in February and the rough sandy shore made for a good afternoon away from the city.
