Quadriplegic Bowling Strike - IKAN Bowler | Bill Miller

Bill Miller was a C1-2 quadriplegic on a ventilator and accomplished many things after his injury. I actually found him by watching a YouTube video after I was injured and we emailed each other several times. He helped me get past the most difficult time in my life by not only through what he was able to do even with less physical function than myself but also through the advice he gave me.

Due to him using a ventilator, he wore shirts with buttons at the top and I sent him a custom Country Boys Can Survive shirt which he is wearing in this video. He co-invented the IKAN Bowler that allows people in wheelchairs to bowl and this is a video of him bowling a strike. He was writing a book during the pandemic and scheduled a blog to post on the 25th anniversary of the day he became paralyzed to release the book.

Sadly, he passed away earlier this year, but I am thankful for his life and willingness to help not only me but many others. I just finished reading his book, and it was great. He gave me tips in 2020 for writing my own book in the future. As Bill would always say, "No worries." You can read his book for free below.
