Exemptions to the 2020 VA loan limit changes

The Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act of 2019 just went into effect on January 1, 2020. In a video with our loan officer, Maurice, we've talked before about how these changes affect the VA loan program, especially regarding the removal of VA loan limits. However, one thing we didn't get a chance to elaborate on were the restrictions to this rule change. While it's true that loan limits have been removed, for the most part, there are three main exemptions to the lifting of VA loan limits. These include lender overlays, veterans with partial entitlement, and potential updates that may be pending from the VA.
