A Mother's Journey With Anger | Nandita Das | TEDxShivNadarUniversity

Sharing a deeply personal journey with anger, Nandita Das illustrated the fine line across which anger becomes violence. Drawing from her conversations with her son, she shows the reflection of our actions by those who look up to us. A warning about the escalating consequences of anger and our vulnerability to slip under the slope of self-righteousness. Spanning a critical duration of her life, she tells us how her struggle with anger affected everything from her work to her own perception of herself and her child.

Nandita Das is a woman who has taken Indian cinema to new frontiers. An award winning actress , a director and more importantly a visionary, she has acted in over 40 feature films and received over twenty awards across the globe.

She has served twice on the jury of Cannes Film Festival, and also received the Government of France's highest civilian award, the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters. Her directorial debut premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, traveled to more than 50 other festivals, and has won more than 20 awards.
