Where we left off, after Raleigh refuses to accept The Marshall's offer to reunite with PPDC to put his veteran wasteland back into becoming the hero once again and mature further without guidance from his dead older brother. But with just a few words of whether

Raleigh chooses to waste the rest of his life here as a lost person or to once again, barricade the city from the monstrous beasts known as Kaijus as they became stronger and larger in size.

Raleigh, after all, chooses to save the world. Raleigh hops into the chopper with Stacker and they flew off and heads towards the world's last Shatterdome to house the remaining four Jaegers. Mako Mori, the brightest technician to work in PPDC, is asked to wait near the designated helipad as the chopper slowly lands onto the helipad with rain and pure blue skies with passionate music sounding to our ears. And see a back shot of Mako standing there waiting for the chopper to touchdown.

Which makes this scene just beautiful, heart-filled, soul-filled and gorgeous. The chopper lands. Raleigh exited the chopper after Stacker. Who introduced Mako as one of the best technicians in PPDC. The Marshall also informs that she had picked some suitable candidates to trial for becoming his next pilot to reanimate Gypsy Danger once again. Mako was with slight dissapointment as she was discouraged by the fact that the retired pilot look like a wasted veteran. With just the first impressions that Raleigh throws at Mako, she was quickly convinced that the two of them had no quarrels on each other and accepts that this is who Raleigh is.

The three took the cargo elevator down to the Jaeger's stations as on their way down, we meet two cartoony scientists who are apparently the last of the Research Division. Even though the lost of other members of that division is unexplained. Here we have our quick-witted, enthusiastic and wacky scientist, Newton Geizler. A scientist known as the "Kaiju groupie" as he is completely obsessed with studying parts of a Kaiju's organs, flesh and what not. He also revealed a tattoo of a Kaiju named Yamarashi which Raleigh and Yancy took down in 2017.

And we also meet our math mathematician Research Division member, Hermann Gottlieb. A crippled but smart man who does his work on predictions, physics and so on based on his mathematics skills. And these two had fought arguments and arguments about whose way of breaking the portal where the Kaijus come from for a few years. Newton says on how he has always wanted to see a Kaiju personally face-to-face due to his obsession.

Raleigh chews Newton off quickly as he disagrees and cautions Newton to not face one. As Raleigh had fought with the largest Category-III Kaiju ever to emerge from the Breach. Raleigh leaves the elevator with Stacker and Mako. And...
