First off sorry bout the distorted aspect ratio, cheap camera...
An important foundation is key with any horse, and when considering "any horse" I mean of all types ages and temperaments regardless of what has been done, it can be undone with the right sort of patience.
Contrary to popular belief, there isn't a horse out there that can't become a trusting friend with the right knowledge and understanding of communication between yourself and a horse you work with.
Sounds easy enough conceptually, however there is a fine art of body language and knowing when to apply force and just as importantly, when to let go and accept a failure of original intention and make the glass half full in the process by getting creative and allowing the horse to think it was what you meant for it to do.
As you can see, I have established full face control and sensitized all pressure points, gaining complete neck reining and spur control. From here its just nit picking and consistent actions to achieve what ever performance goal desired.
In this case it will be western pleasure first.
