2 Weeks Filming for MotorTrend + LOTS of 55 Updates !! - 55 Build - Video 12

Dang!! The last 2 (really 3) weeks have been insane! May 1st I packed up my truck to head to Tucson, AZ to film for a new show for MotorTrend - Hooptie World Championship - hosted by David Freiburger and KJ Jones. I was surrounded by 10 other great contestants (names listed below w/ social links) and a great teammate - Derek Bieri from Vice Grip Garage-, plus a great production team! Hold up, don't panic, our shows aren't going behind a paywall, we were just there to compete in a new series with a really piece of junk car... like one that really didn't even run when we got there. Check out a few sneak peaks of the behind the scenes of what I was doing the past 2 weeks! I really did have full intention to edit weekly videos for you guys, but our 1988 Pontiac Firebird left us with little spare time and a lot of sleepless nights on set and it was impossible for me to do (sorry guys! Thanks for your patience). Seems like a pretty inconvenient time to leave, when we're in the middle of the 55 project, right? I know! And that part really did stress me out. THANKFULLY I have amazing parents who are just as passionate about the 55 Chevy Quest for the Sixes. So, dad (and mom) stayed behind and put in insanely long hours and SOOOO much got done. He wanted me to take the opportunity, even though it put us in a pretty bad time line bind... but when the opportunities are there, take them while you can. The car is actually a roller now, so image the amount of content that I have ready to get out to you guys to get you caught up! While the weekly updates did slack, the up side to that is that I now have enough content to post multiple times a week. Our time line is getting tight and it's going to be almost impossible to make the first race (with the 55), Summit Midwest Drag, coming up in 2 weeks. But! We are still pushing to make the 2nd race, Rocky Mountain Race Week 1.0 coming up at the end of June. Buckle up! We have a lot of catching up to do!
