A Firm Foundation | Week 1 | Contemporary Service

Over the next five weeks we will focus on what we believe as Christians and United Methodists. We will consider the tenants of our faith—those unchanging principles that give us stability and comfort. We will consider the hard-to-understand doctrines like the Holy Trinity, how we read scripture, and why the grace of Jesus is so important to us. When we have a firm foundation, the struggles of life become easier to bear. We will no longer be tossed about like those who are susceptible to false teaching, but will stand strong in our faith and the truth of Christ.
Our series will start with the Holy Trinity, explaining God as Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. How can God be all three, with different roles for different titles? We will try to take a complicated teaching to a new understanding of how God works in our lives and what can we expect of Him.
