VAAL The Machine God: Star Trek Bestiary

Vaal is the computer system that oversaw the planet of Gamma Trainguli VI and its small settlement of unending humanoids. The origin of his computer was not mentioned on screen but attributed in books to the same species as Sargon for the sole purpose of protecting and maintaining a planet, free of strife.
