Ingredients and Measurements:
For the dough:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. yeast
2 tbsp. milk powder
1 tbsp. custard powder
1/4 cup sugar (you can use brown and white or one or the other)
1 tbsp. softened butter
1 tbsp. softened shortening (you can replace with butter)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
enough water to make a soft dough
For the coconut mix:
2 cups freshly grated coconut
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup condensed milk
2 tbsp. custard powder
For the sugar syrup:
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
