Joe Phillips - CAN'T HELP BUT TO LOVE YOU (Gold Star Studio) (1965)

NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Omen 6-B) Out of Los Angeles, this disc recorded at Hollywood's Gold Star Studio in September of 1965, is the first of two singles issued on the Omen label by Joe Phillips. "I Just Can't Sop Thinking About You' is the stunning, Spectoresque 'Wall Of Sound' production on the plug side that immitates the sound of The Righteous Brothers' Philles releases. This, the flip-side, treads into Bo Diddley territory with pounding drums a-plenty. Produced and arranged by Chester Pipkin, formerly of The Alley Cats, a Philles group and Marshall Leib formerly of The Teddy Bears and also former Spector associate.

The backing track for 'Can't Help But To Love You' was also used on 'Will You Love Me (Like You Did Last Summer)' which was the flip side to The Westwoods 1965 A&M Records single, 'I Miss My Surfer Boy Too'.
