Syracuse Bacon Festival a hog wild hit

Syracuse, N.Y.-- If you couldn't tell by the thousands of fatback lovers bursting out of Clinton Square Saturday–people were pigging out on the first ever Syracuse Bacon Festival.

Dozens of vendors slopped out just about every edible inclusion of bacon you can think of–from bacon wrapped scallops, to bacon pops, bacon brownies, bacon mac & cheese, and bacon sundaes, even cardboard troughs full of bacon with dipping sauces to swill them in.

It's early to say, but judging from the turnout, The event is a hit that will have all involved bringing home the bacon to launch another next year.
