Nixie tube speedometer

Final form for the speedometer, though not final materials - this is printed in PLA and I need something more heat resistant, so if I decide to keep it like this I’ll get it all printed in resin.

I’m using one of a bunch of phone mounts I bought from AliExpress. One of them includes an inductive charger that might, just might, provide enough power to run this. I’ve got a pick up coil on the way to try it out. Currently I’m using a mag-safe USB cable.

There’s also a BLE OBDII adapter from a company called teslogic, which would be nice instead of using GPS, but I’ve no idea how they stream the data. I wonder if I could buy/write a snooper to figure it out?

Still, I have something that works, so that’s all for another day.
