Full review of Amazon's all-new 2019 Kindle, the latest £70 budget eReader with a new light-up screen, after a fortnight of real life testing.

This 10th-generation Kindle is one of the best book readers around thanks to the stunning value it offers. The main reason for upgrading to Amazon's Paperwhite model was always the illuminated display, yet now you can get that feature in the most budget eReader for under £100.

As usual you get touchscreen controls, long battery life, full access to Amazon's online eBook store and support for comics, audiobooks, PDFs and so on. I've reviewed the more premium Kindle devices and this 2019 refresh of the entry-level model is now my favourite, offering everything apart from full water resistance.
