The 5 Milestones That Predict a Step 1 Pass
I have coached USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 CK, and USMLE Step 3 students for over a decade. I went to Stanford Medical School, scored top 0.1% on Step 1 and Step 2 CK, and trained in anesthesia at Harvard. The medical students this clip serves are deep into USMLE Step 1 prep, months of UWorld and First Aid logged, with NBME 30 and NBME 31 scores that move randomly week to week and no concrete proof their plan will pass them.
Most Step 1 students assume the fix is more content, more UWorld blocks, more First Aid reviews, more cards. It is not. If you are a USMLE Step 1 student studying for months without staged checkpoints that prove your method works on harder content, watching NBME 30 and NBME 31 plateau in the 220s, the problem is not how much you are studying. It is the absence of milestones that confirm your prep is actually scaling.
