Viper Mkii Service History #shorts

The Viper Mkii was the second generation of Viper space-superiority fighter in service to the Colonial Fleet. The design would see heavy usage during the First Cylon War, but was in the process of being phased out by the newer Mark III Viper around Ten Years In.

The Viper Mkii would ultimately win the day. When the Cylons returned and used the CNP Virus to disable the Colonial Fleet, a surviving squadron which had been refitted in time for the Battlestar Galactica’s decommissioning ceremony were immune to the Virus, and would defend the old Battlestar and remaining civilian fleet.
