Panasonic is building a new US based battery factory in Kansas to manufacture batteries for Tesla. However, this brings up the question – why don’t Panasonic and Tesla simply expand Giga Nevada as was originally planned instead? Why a new factory? The answer to this question is actually quite interesting. This video uncovers some interesting details that I learned from a recent conversation I recently had with someone with knowledge on this topic.
