A New Jersey native, the man born Justin Smith dropped out of Rutgers University to pursue his musical dreams, but what he lost in traditional education he more than made up for in real-life experience. From being a teenage DJ to learning how to program computers and being fascinated with video game music, Smith made his name by bringing a unique perspective to hip-hop production at a time when the genre needed it most.
