I.T. Certifications are often used as an entry to get into information technology. But I see it too often that people follow the standard advice to use a certification like CompTIA's A+ certification. I believe more due diligence is required to start a successful career in information technology.

I will share with you how you should holistically approach IT certifications by vendor and also map out the path into I.T. based on the potential role you want to obtain when working in information technology.

How you start in I.T. can be the defining moment about what your career opportunities and potential salary expectations can be. High earning IT jobs are plenty, but if you start on the wrong foot it may take you significantly longer to earn a high salary from an I.T. job.
