This is how Hydro Extrusion Sweden is bringing their CO2 emissions to zero | Greener Sweden

Sustainability is high on Hydro’s agenda.

Greener Sweden is an energy transformation project initiated by Hydro Extrusions Sweden. Our goal is a full energy transformation towards 100% locally produced renewable energy. At Hydro’s extrusion plant in Sjunnen, Sweden they use their own hydropower production unit to power most of their recycling and extrusion operations.

The Greener Sweden project aims to take things further by combining hydropower production with large scale solar installations, battery and energy storage solutions, hydrogen production and consumption, and wind power. By doing this, Hydro Extrusion Sweden will be able to take their operations and CO2 emissions to zero.

This is not only industry unique, but will also set a new standard for sustainable production of aluminium extrusions.
