The Broad-eared Bat is alive and well in Costa Rica
The Broad-eared Bat (Nyctinomops laticadatus) has only been captured a few times in Costa Rica since it flys very high in the sky while it catches moths and flies. This Molossid family member looks a lot like the Brazilian or Mexican Free-tailed Bat except for the wrinkles on its mouth.
