PROVEN Ways Your Pet Says "I Love You!"
There is no denying that our pets love us unconditionally, and if you’re doubtful about whether yours loves you, here’s a list that will either put your mind at ease or send you to the kitchen to prepare fresh chicken and gravy to try and change your pets mind.
12 - Like owner like cat
Cats have the ability to tune into your daily activities and will emulate what you’re doing. Despite being known for napping during the day and being active at night, cats that are very attached to their owners, will usually be lights out the same time as their owner. That’s a match made in heaven.
11 - I knead you
Kitties love to knead before settling themselves down, and if they’re kneading you or a surface close to you, it means they’re comfortable and happy to be close to you. As a kitten, this kneading stimulates a mother’s milk flow, but as an adult, expresses comfort.
10 - Like a shadow
We’ve mentioned how dogs are pack animals, and sure, there’s no denying that your pup will follow you if they know you’re about to feed them, but if they still follow you and there is no reward, it means they’re treating you like their family. That’s love!
9 - True Love
Science Magazine published an article about how dogs that have true affection for their owners will respond better with words of encouragement and praise compared to a treat as a reward. I don’t think I’m quite there yet with my dogs, how about you?
8 - See you later
If your pooch is happy to see you leave and doesn’t behave frantically, than well done, because that means that they trust that you will be back again. However, if your dog scratches and chews things, then you have to look into ways of making the separation easier for them.
7 - Tall Tails
A cat’s tail can give you a lot of information about how your feline feels. If your cat is a little angry, expect a whipping motion from the tail. If your cat requires your attention, a gentle flick will suffice. If the tail is brushing against you gently, or winding itself around you, that shows possession and indicates to the world that you belong to her. If your cat holds her tail upright, with a little kink at the end, it’s a big thumbs up from your cat!
6 - Kiss Me
Canine kisses might be slobbery and misplaced, but they’re the best for saying, “I love you!” If you’re feeling down, chances are that a pooch that loves you, will shower you will slobbery kisses. It’s his way of saying everything will be just fine, and believe him.
5 - Hold my hand
Have you noticed your dog sprawled out on their back and they extend their paw for you to take? That is further proof that you are so loved by your canine companion.
4 - A little nosy
If your dog comes to you and nudges you with their nose, that’s their way of saying, I really like you! It’s also their way to ask for a little attention, but again, they’re not nose nudging anyone else but you, because you’re their preferred human.
3 - Best Friend Forever
Your dog does not like to see you sick, and in the wild or in their pack, they instinctively lick each other’s wounds and take care of the sick. It’s true, they may lick your actual wound, but even if there is no wound to lick, they’re right there by your side, making sure you know that they care. They like to watch over you and ensure you’re safe.
2 - Happy Sighs
Have you been snuggling closely with your dog, only to hear the longest, happiest sigh? It’s exactly what it sounds like – happiness and contentment all rolled into one! They are in the best place they can possibly be – right beside you. Ahh, bliss.
