The Battle of Salamis (480 BCE)

The Battle of Salamis was the second naval battle during the Second Persian Invasion of Greece. The Greeks only chance to hold the Persians back was to use their navy to keep the Persians from bypassing the greek wall at the Isthmus. The Greeks have successfully lured the Persians into their trap at the Straights of Salamis thus beginning the famous Battle of Salamis.
