"Your life will never be the same" - A surgeon's warning about mold

My memory:
I remember one time walking down the hall with another doctor - actually a surgeon who left allopathic medicine to do functional medicine because he got molded.
Nobody could figure out what was wrong with him. He got disappointed in the system.
He looked at me and said:
"You know, your life will never be the same."
My thought at the time:
"I'm not going to allow that to happen. My life is going to be the same."
He said:
"This will change you forever."
And he was right.
It has directed my career. Every day I see so much tragedy - people whose lives have been derailed by mold, just like mine was, just like his was.
Mold changes you.
Not just physically, but the trajectory of your entire life. Your career. Your purpose. What you dedicate yourself to.
That surgeon was right - my life was never the same. But what mold took in health, it gave back in purpose.
