The News at Ten from ITN, on the eve of poll, Wednesday 30 April 1997. Trevor McDonald presents, introducing Michael Brunson's report on the final day of campaigning. Then Tom Bradby reports on John Major's disrupted visit to Stevenage and Luton, Mark Webster follows Tony Blair through Dumfries and Stockton then back home to Sedgefield. Caroline Kerr has been campaigning with Paddy Ashdown. David Rose rounds up the campaign in Scotland.

Jo Andrews covers the final polls and there are brief snippets of Sir James Goldsmith (Referendum Party) and Dafydd Wigley (Plaid Cymru). Michael Brunson gives his impression of the end of the campaign.
