Champurrado is in a way a hot chocolate drink, however, it is thicker than your traditional cup of hot chocolate. What makes it so thick is the addition of corn flour or dough. Yep you heard that right, flour or dough. This is because it is a drink that dates back to the Aztecs and Mayas.
