February Love Songs: Mutya ng Pasig and Pers Lab

Songs that will stand the test of time are featured in this video. They easily bring some joy and relief from the current pandemic. One is the classic kundiman by Nicanor Abelardo and interpreted here by Toronto-based soprano Jennifer Uy. Another classic is this Original Pilipino Music written and composed for the Hotdog band by music artist Ramon Torralba, who's also based in Toronto.

I asked Mon in jest if he already met the mysterious lady in his song that had caused him and many others sleepless nights and pimples all over the face. I suppose he's still searching for her because he did not reply. Listen to his love paean that's full of hope in the midst of agony.
