'We proved them wrong': Sir Richard Branson completes world first flight
Virgin Atlantic has “proved people wrong” after a passenger jet accomplished a world-first flight from London to New York on 100 per cent sustainable aviation fuel, says Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson.
Sir Richard spoke with Sky News Australia host Ortenzia Borre about the accomplishment and what it will bring to the airline industry.
“Up until last week, people thought it would be impossible for any long-haul airline to fly across the Atlantic with clean fuels and I am delighted to say we proved them wrong,” he said.
“Once you’ve proved people wrong, then there is no turning back.
“There will be companies setting up all over the world to produce clean energy fuels to sell to airlines."
