hi people. this one was pretty hard for me to share. but i ultimately decided to put it out there because i know that so many others have similar experiences. even within my small circle of close friends, a bunch of us are in the same boat...which is pretty horrifying. the landscape of sex, consent, and trauma is scary and ambiguous – the line can be crossed in ways that are quotidian and hazy. i just wanted to tell my story in the hope that, for someone, it resonates. for anyone who needs to hear it, you’re not alone ❤️

most of this was written between the hours of 3am and 5am on the notes app on my phone – thank you insomnia 🫡 the painting took about 15 hours over the course of two days (felt like a fever dream lol).
