Thanks to a grant I received from my school, I spent this summer creating a multimedia project honoring my chosen family. I traveled around the country, spent time with the people I love, took their photographs, painted their portraits, and documented the journey along the way. Putting this together was a true labor of love, and this was definitely the most ambitious art project I have ever undertaken.

Each piece is oil paint and gold leaf on wood panel (6” diameter each).

There is so much immense love and gratitude in my heart right now, so I felt compelled to share it with you all. I hope you are inspired to go forth and forge chosen families of your own ❤️
