'I Was Crying And He Still Didn’t Spare Me’: Sikh Americans Are Under Attack

One of the biggest Sikh communities in the U.S. started a patrol to protect their elders after a string of racist attacks. AJ+ went to Queens to speak to one of the survivors, who fears another attack may occur after the suspects were released.

Law enforcement has a long history of ignoring crimes against the Sikh community. Several Sikhs are running for office this year, some under a campaign asking for more protection to prevent future attacks.

Update: A fourth attack of an elderly Sikh man occurred in the same neighborhood on Mother’s Day morning.
