Silk Lined Tulip Pleat Interlined Velvets Curtains Making

With an introduction from me briefly explaining the make up method I use you'll see the process of making these lined and #interlinedcurtains with #tulippleats from the most sumptuous printed #velvet called Nymphius from https://www.gpjbaker.com/. The heading is hand made, lined in a beautiful deep olive green #silk and #handsewn using #buckram. Tulip pleats are also known as #cutaway pleats and are named so because the organic shape the pleats take on that resemble the shape of an open tulip.

Making these curtains was a lengthy process so I filmed the making of just one of the pair and much of the video is in timelapse in my #Lancashire workroom

At some point I will be creating a much more detailed step by step tutorial on how to make both closed hem curtains and also tulip pleats for my trade members only over on http://www.patreon.com/TheWindmillWorkroom so if you are in the trade please head over there if you'd like to see more videos.
