Montana FWP shares tips to protect gardens from wildlife
Montana is known to have a wide variety of wildlife, and people can run into some trouble if they have gardens in their backyard that can attract all sorts of animals.
A Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks official shared some tips to keep wildlife out of your garden.
“The most effective thing to do is to put up an exclusionary fence, and that would have to be, if you’re looking at something like deer, typically you’re talking about an 8-foot fence that they’re not able to get through,” said Brian Wakeling, game management bureau chief for Montana FWP.
Another great way to keep wildlife out of your garden is animal repellent. The price for animal repellent can vary from $20 to over $100.
