Introduction to Centripetal Acceleration - Period, Frequency, & Linear Speed - Physics Problems

This physics video tutorial explains the concept of centripetal acceleration and provides a basic introduction into how it works and how to solve physics problems relating to it. Centripetal acceleration is present whenever an object moves at constant speed in a circle - this is known as uniform circular motion. The centripetal acceleration vector always points toward the center of the circle. This tutorial also explains how to calculate the period, frequency, and velocity which can be used to calculate the radial acceleration. The frequency represents the number of revolutions traveled around the circle per second and the period is the time it takes to make one complete revolution. This video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.
