SpaceX Starship (SN20) Ship 20 Heat Shield Configuration Explained

SpaceX Starship (SN20) Ship 20 is the first orbit capable Starship prototype. Recently, SpaceX stacked a Starship and Super Heavy Booster for the first time ever, making it the tallest launch vehicle to be ever assembled. Ship 20 is also the first Starship prototype to have a full windward side covered with heat shield tiles. However, Ship 20 has heat shield tiles on the leeward side as well. So why is this the case?

Currently, Starship Ship 20 is back in the high bay. It is expected that Ship 20 and Booster 4 will undergo cryogenic pressure tests and static fire tests before the first orbital flight test of Starship.
