Secret Santa flashback: New widow stunned when 'Singing Angels' help surprise her with amazing gift

This surprise took place in 2016.

IDAHO FALLS -- Krista Leavitt is a proud mother who loves her children and works hard to keep them happy. Her son is a high school senior. Her daughter is in elementary school and was born with spina bifida. Krista's friends and coworkers say she always has a smile on her face and cares about everyone she meets.

In October, Krista's husband, Michael, was on a ladder doing work around the house when he unexpectedly fell and hit his head. He suffered a traumatic brain injury and died a few days later.

Krista and her resilient kids are left to pick up the pieces.

When Secret Santa and his wife heard about Krista, they decided to give her a check for $10,000.

Santa's EastIdahoNews.com elves teamed up with award winning BYU a cappella groups Vocal Point and Noteworthy. They visited Krista at work for a surprise they'll never forget.
