A Secret Santa surprises father of 4 after house fire destroys everything

A Secret Santa is back and this Christmas is bigger than ever!

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many individuals in our community as he can.

Abel is a father of four kids all under the age of six. He and his wife lost their home to a fire on Nov. 13. It was 3:30 a.m. and all the family was asleep. Abel woke up because he couldn't breathe and ran outside to yell for help.

He went back inside the mobile home to get his family to safety. They called 911 but they could not save anything and everything was destroyed. Their dogs were killed in the fire.

The family is currently staying at a friend's house until they find a place to live. They are working to get back on their feet and are starting over.

Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to surprise Abel with a gift while he was working. Watch the video above to see what happened!
