I know you’ve been waiting for this video after my farmers' market haul! If you follow my Instagram, you’ll know that Michael and I cook a LOT at home…and many of the recipes I’ve shown you in the past are various recipes consisting of already pre-prepped and pre-chopped foods. So today, I’m walking you through the entire prep process!
Typically Michael would be doing this WITH me...we live in a home where we split the kitchen duties entirely 50/50! But on this day, Michael had to work...so it is SOLO prep time!
Before we get started, I wanted to walk you through the things that we like to prepare: veggies, grains and proteins. I typically like to prepare all of these things in advance by chopping (and storing raw), cooking what I can, and just making sure everything is ready to go for the week ahead. We also eat some foods that we buy fresh the day of (like fish)! About half the vegetables get chopped and stored in the fridge, and then the other half get cooked! I had prepared my rice, quinoa and pasta before I started filming this video.
This video shows me prepping kale, eggs, broccoli, peppers, purple cabbage, onion, zucchini, eggplant, sweet potato, frozen chicken, and making my own homemade almond milk!
