Playa El Tamarindo is one of El Salvador's best kept secrets! Located in La Union, El Salvador (a scenic 3 hour drive from the capital city of San Salvador) Playa El Tamarindo is a magical place. Nestled inside the Golfo de Fonseca on the Oriente or East side of El Salvador, with incredible views of the Conchagua Volcano (future home to "Bitcoin City") and surrounding islands of El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Playa El Tamarindo is home to a plethora of wildlife including rare birds, fish, crabs, and even whales. The beach is rarely crowded and known for its low waves and constant depths making it quite safe and an ideal location for boating, sport fishing, diving, swimming, and just soaking up that AMAZING Salvadoran sunshine on what feels like your own private paradise!

Join us as we get to know one of the best beaches El Salvador has to offer! We stayed at an awesome Airbnb at Playa El Tamarindo called La Ceja Beach House (or “The Eyebrow” in English) The Airbnb has 3 rooms and 8 beds, a large pool, and it’s right on the beach. Don’t even get me started on the house mascot Corbata (or “bowtie”) she is just the cutest Chucha! It is important to note there is no wifi or Televisions at La Ceja but you wont need them with the views of the Golfo de Fonseca right off Playa El Tamarindo in El Salvador.

We also went on another boat adventure, but this time we left the car on the shore (unlike at Barra de Santiago). The grounds keeper at La Ceja Beach House Airbnb took us on a tour of the surrounding islands and even helped us find crabs to play with. It was an adventure we will never forget and I am so happy to take you along with us!!
