Furiosa has the perfect opportunity to finally confirm the fate of one original character from the 1979 Mad Max movie. Since Furiosa will serve as a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, the film holds the responsibility of answering many questions about the titular character's past and the bleak world she lives in. For instance, the movie must delve into Immortan Joe's backstory and highlight how he rose to power to reach the level of influence he has in Mad Max: Fury Road. With Immortan Joe's origins as a cue, the movie must also reveal how Furiosa turned against him and lost her arm.

In all these details surrounding Furiosa's past, the prequel movie could also disclose how she became the Imperator that she was in Mad Max: Fury Road. Given how all of these mysteries surrounding Furiosa's past seem essential to her overarching storyline, the movie will likely offer some answers to them. However, along with these, Furiosa also seemingly has the best chance to explain what happened to a primary character in the 1979 Mad Max movie.
