I was inspired by Jeff Mills on this track. I sampled Earth People's song Dance (Bonus Beats) from youtube into my Gemini DS-824. It's a 12 bit sampler from the 90s and it's killer.

I was also inspired by the vinyl releases that came out in the 90s called Killa Bites. I don't recall who the artist was but it was a bunch of classic house songs that were made into hard, fast (130-140 bpm) tracky remixes. There were some Todd Terry songs as well as others. It was an amazing series. Richie Hawtin played a lot of them in his Decks, FX and 909 tour.

I really like playing dj sets in the 130s, and I love classic house, so I thought I would make a bunch of songs that are like the Killa Bites kinda. But in my style.

I like to mix up to four tracks at once, so this kind of track is perfect for layering in my set. It can play a great supporting role as back-up beats or as the star of show on it's own.

Anyway, I really like this track and know I'll end up playing the absolute shit out of it. Enjoy!
