Why You Should Read Your Bible | Martyn Iles

One of the things that was on my mind when I started The Truth of It, was that I wanted people to recover a sense that the Bible speaks to us today.

I wanted people to understand not just Scripture is reliable - I think we believe that. But I wanted people to see that it is succificent and that it gives us the wisdom we need even in days like today.

Anyone who spends time in the Bible knows that it is true. If we were to gather every book in the country right now and we were to stack them up by title, the stack of Bibles, I believe, would be the highest.

And that’s interesting, though it’s common, I think a lot of those Bibles would be largely unread. I think most people don’t read the Bible but most people have an opinion about it…
