Stephen is the preaching pastor at Providence Church
Midland, and also works for City Bible Forum as a
National Communicator in a new venture called Th ird
Space, a project that seeks to engage evangelistically
with those who have never been to church. He has been
pastoring and planting churches over the past two
decades, and coaches church planters as part of the
Geneva Church planting network. He has a keen interest
in how the church and other Christian institutions
engage with the culture and writes extensively on how
God’s people can courageously navigate what is an
increasingly hostile public square. He is married to Jill,
who runs a clinical psychology practice in Midland,
and they have two children, Sophie and Declan.
