Global National: Feb. 11, 2021 | Newfoundland and Labrador election delayed in areas hit by COVID-19
Newfoundland and Labrador, which had kept COVID-19 case counts low for almost a year, is in the midst of a rapidly escalating outbreak. The provincial election set for Saturday has been postponed in nearly half the ridings. Ross Lord has more.
Manitoba’s premier is making his own deal to buy COVID-19 vaccines separate from the federal government. As Abigail Bimman reports, other provinces may follow suit.
Alberta's government is calling for more transparency about the rules over the federal requirement that travellers who arrive in the country by air must quarantine in a hotel for three days at their own expense. Heather Yourex-West has the story of some who have already stayed in government-approved hotels.
And, new allegations are emerging involving Gen. Jonathan Vance. Global’s Mercedes Stephenson has details.
Jackson Proskow has the latest on the impeachment trial of former U.S. president Donald Trump, where Democrats said they believe Trump could incite more violence if he’s not convicted.
