Celestron C70 Mini MAK usage with Tracer Exclusive HD Rocket (without lens) at day and night (moon).
Generaly its digiscoping.
PC Camera Tracer Exclusive HD Rocket has only twisted off the lens - no modifications made, no need, camera almost like designed for use in 1,25'' adaptor :)
I did put a piece of paper inside to cover the blue built in LED so that, no unwanted additional light was disturbing picture.
Without lens it has no IR filter then (more red colour saturation), so colors at day might differ from what we would had seen by eyes .
I did focus on the billboard behind crossroads so the cars and car license-plates are not that sharp, it was only test record, I was recording by 2 dusty windowpanes in the attic. C70 was mounted on that time on a simple digital camera tripod, not on the provided celestron tripod with micro moves. When I saw 2 women I tried quickly to track after them using hand so result is very shaky, its not fault of the scope neither its tripod. I got no special comments for the part with the Moon, the magnification is about x160+ (or even more) it most probably was also by my window so that's 2 windowpanes that are distorting and bluring the picture without what, it would be a bit sharper.
I decided to buy this tele/scope after researches of a good TRAVEL telescope (which I would not be embarrased to take out at day between people) and mostly thanks to Thomas Quinn's Review (watch?v=wQtNLe8Avds)
I am very satisfied with this equipment.
